"The Safe Place" is a minority mental health app that focuses on serving the Black community. Research shows that African Americans are 20% more likely to encounter serious mental health issues compared to the general population, yet seeking professional help remains a challenge for many within the Black community.

The primary aim of "The Safe Place" is to increase awareness, provide education, and offer hope regarding this significant issue. This app not only benefits the Black community but also serves as a valuable resource for mental health professionals, friends, family members of all ethnicities, enabling them to gain insight into and support their Black peers by recommending this app.

Mental health challenges affect individuals of all races; however, these issues can be influenced by our racial and social backgrounds. "The Safe Place" is particularly helpful for mental health professionals seeking to enhance their understanding of Black patients.
